Default Cool article about room acoustics and treatment

Finishing up my new (to me) man cave. Over the course of the last 2 months I have researched how to best create a good recording space as well as my little home theater space.

This is an article I found to be informative and easy to understand.

Yep, some good info. Curious to see what other experienced folks think of it. There is one point I would correct, or better yet expand upon. The author states dense material is best, but I have read that the fluffy pink insulation works well (better) in bass traps if given enough depth

yeas pink fluffy works but roxul works a bit better if using chunky corner bass traps

owen708 is the best fro broadband absorption

I am speakin from building my own Home theater...where absorption and diffusion is best. not sure for a recording studio

Never heard of Owen 708. Do you mean 703 or 705?

Good article.
On the 'fluffy' fiberglass (pink or yellow stuff) - you need to be MUCH thicker in order to get the same absorption - 16" at least. If you've got the room, great, most of us don't.
