A storm came through and didn't record much of Page's performances so I went back and watch Edge and Jack jump up out of their chairs when he started playing one of the big Zep tunes.

Yes it was the one where he went ape over the Rumble.

I came away for a new appreciation for all of their music, even the stuff I don't like.

jack bleeding on his guitar: I've re run it multiple times and can't see where the blood is coming from. He's using a pick for most of it.

Thanks again

John

I just rewatched this film.

Obviously JP is "the man", and was 99% of why I was interested in watching the rockumentary to begin with.

I was vaguely familiar with the White Stripes and Jack White before watching, and came away with an appreciation for his roots and creativity.

The Edge is a headscratcher to me. Is he there because they couldn't find anybody else? Is it a joke? I guess I've concluded that while he isn't much of a guitar player, he does use the guitar (and effects) to create the sonic landscape of a very popular band...

I'd be awful embarrassed to meet up with Jimmy to discuss the electric guitar if my chops were on par with the Edge.
