Default Kelly Joe Phelps fingerpicking DVD intro

Hi,
I am currently studying on the instructional DVD the fingerpicking guitar of Kelly Joe Phelps.
I am very curios about the song he plays in the intro. Unfortunately there is no name of it and it could even be excellent improvisation.
Does any of you know in which tuning does he play? I guess open but cannot figure out the details. Any tips?

Thanks
Ste

Hi, I'm sorry but I can't help you as regards the song on the DVD but I thought I would let you know about a couple of good sites for Kelly Joe Phelps information and tablature

Kelly Joe Phelps is a big hero of mine about 10 years ago after seeing him play alive I was so blown away and impressed that the next day I went and bought a bar for playing lap slide and then changed my only guitar at the time by raising the action so I could play lap style. It's a shame in some ways that Kelly Joe doesn't play that style of slide playing anymore, although he is starting to develop an equally as unique sound with bottleneck slide.

Good luck with working out the tune you are looking for.

Thanks a lot for the websites. I will check out for sure. KJP is really amazing. Just a unique style. Unfortunately never came around Italy to play And I have not the chance yet to watch him live.
Bit I agree his new approach with bottleneck is also very interesting And inspiring.

Cheers,
Ste

I have the impression that the open tuning is the same used on the song Jericho. But not sure what this tuning is...
