Congrats... It is REALLY tough, eh! Good thing you had your teacher with you to make sure you didn't go toes-up on your first (like I did.... story for another day...).

Congrats! Great job with stepping out of your comfort zone and making it happen. This is something on my "to do" list, as well. Gotta find an open mic venue in my area.
