i have an 89 olympic white, maple board, american strat i bought in 90. it is still my workhorse guitar, always sitting out ready to go.

Congrats on the purchase of a beautiful new American Standard Strat! I bought an American Standard in April of 2011 but found through Fender Customer Relations that it was actually made in December of 2010. Sienna Burst Ash body with Maple Fretboard. I still stare at it and drool everyday.
May your new Strat bring you many years of joy!
Btw, I also bought a new Fender Blues Jr. NOS 15 watt amp in Retro Tweed and it sounds absolutely AWESOME with my Strat!
