This is one of the most interesting threads I can remember. Like a Quentin Tarantino movie, I have no idea what's coming next.

It's coming along quite well. I'm ready to hear sound clips.

Default Update -

Here are some current pictures of the "roundbody" guitar. Sound wise the little sound chamber doesn't support the low E very well. It is on the tonerite right now and needs some more action work. It also is not comfortable to hold with the neck two feet out in the sky so I am going to have to put strap buttons on it to get the body over some. More later.

very cool indeed! The neck turned out really nice.
So how thick was the soundboard that did/ is holding up?

Default Never done

I took the bridge off and moved it slightly - refinished the top, thinned it a little - probably down to .1, and added something to keep the body from sliding off my knee. Because it's neck heavy and the bridge is in the center of the drum it is unbalanced as compared to a banjo. Also added a McIntyre Feather pickup and it sounds pretty good with a pickup - more like a guitar.
This thing is never done haha. For anyone coming to the Swananoa Gathering I may bring it on Sunday night.
