Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself.
I like a few of his songs.

I appreciate his (JB's) talent and what he did for his mother when he started making money busking as a youngster...

What part of the world do you reside in Ian?

it's no problemo . There are a lot of Church People here , but discussing such matters is not encouraged , so again, you might get along famously with some of them . That's one good thing about the format and rules here (no politics or religion) , it makes for congeniality (or at least aceptance ) between people who might otherwise lock horns (or gore each other) .
I'm not here for religious discussions. I know my username has 'Atheist' in it, but it's just part of the nickname I gave myself. I nicknamed myself 'atheist ian' because it sounds nice to me. But otherwise, I just came here for guitar support and tips. I have no intentions of talking about religion or politics here. I apologize if my username gave that impression.

If you have to explain yourself there's a whole pile of members here whose names I find skirt the religious rules. I am for the most part ok with them so you're just fine in my books. Welcome!

Cool ...."just you be my backstreet girl..."--Rolling Stones

Hi, Ian...I'm sure there's some here who think I'm white and gold, but I can live with that!

I like John Denver, just fine, but don't appreciate boy bands that came anytime after about 1970...

Anyway, welcome to the forum!

You're among friends here, Ian. Glad to have you with us.

I don't know a lot about tambourines. I was a rain stick major in college. I'd show up at gigs with a couple dozen of them, all in one fine alligator hide covered case. I'd make sure to have some long, some short, some skinny, some fat, some with BBs and some with beans. My friends and I would spend hours debating the acoustical properties of actual cactus spines versus plastic or steel - carbon fiber was not yet invented.

OK, that paragraph wasn't true, but the first one was!
