As to your safer addiction question. Eating Chapstick is a safer addiction than smoking crack, would you agree?
I"ve never known or heard of anyone addicted to eating Chapstick, really, so I can't say.

Saw it on tv along with many other addictions. I think most everyone has some kind of addiction, humans are creatures of habit.

Your being a little obtuse,Does it really matter if you do or don't know anyone who eats Chapstick? Is it not safe to say eating Chapstick is not quite as dangerous? I

I quit in 2005 after 30 years of 20-30 cigs a day.
Last night I had my first intense real life smoking dream in a long time.
It was in color, the Marlboro packs were red.
I lay in bed this morning wondering for a few minutes if I had given up the last 10 years.
I tell people that if I am ever diagnosed stage 4 cancer of any type, one of the first
things I would do is get a carton of smokes and a good bottle of bourbon.
I don't know if I am joking.

Lol! I'd probably do something similar if I got diagnosed with cancer (of any stage). I decided long ago that if ever got cancer or another terminal illness I wouldn't fight it and accept my fate. As it would have been better never to have existed, a corollary is that the sooner you die the better.

In that light, get on with your vices and addictions. I'm surprised I haven't totally pickled my liver with beer and scotch yet, but I probably will eventually. And I have no desire to quit drinking nor do I care if I do wind up pickling my liver.
