Default Easier to Play?

I've been playing my new Taylor 516ce for two days now. I played on it for about an hour in the store and it just sounds great. What I'm finding is that it's not an easy guitar to play. After about 15 minutes my left hand is going to muscle fatigue. It has mediums on it so I'm going to lite strings. I like D'addario strings. Do they make a good acoustic lite? This one has elixer. Thanks for suggestions!

D'Addario EJ16's (Phosphor Bronze Light .012-.053) are probably the best selling acoustic guitar string set out there, they should be easy to find almost anywhere.

Thanks walter! I've been using D'Addarios for a long time. I have a set of elixer lite that came with the guitar. I haven't put them on yet. I know that medium is too heavy for my style of playing. I wrote it down!

If you're finding a Taylor that hard to play, my guess is it needs a setup.

That's what I plan to do Jeff. Hopefully they won't charge me for it. The Taylor 516ce costs me $ 2250 and I have a classical electric getting a pickup replaced with them.

Amazing what changing string gauges can do! I went to the EJ16's. NOW I can play this guitar much easier. Very Very cool! I'm working on an arrangement of "Every Breath You Take" and with the mediums I couldn't get much done cuz I'd have to quite every fifteen minutes due to muscle fatigue. I have chronic amnesia. If I quit and come back later I forget what I was working on. I just played an hour with no problem
