Good choice......it's hard to find a finer set of Brazilian these days.

There's no crime in a four piece back, not that I'm suggesting I still suspect the OP's to be such. I recently finished a BRW Classical guitar with a 6 piece back! It the nearly black imperial BRW, with pink stripes in it. Unfortunately the stripes make it possible to discern the joints, though so far no one seems to have noticed.
I sold the guitar in the following picture to a fellow who insists that I am wrong in saying that it is a 4 piece, but I know it is; I made it: Had it been a 2 piece the price would have been considerably higher. |

Nice work, Bruce! I'd be happy to own that no matter how many pieces in the back.

I would go considerably further than absolving the 4-piece back (or top) of criminality. When extra work is done so that the guitar can have better, quartersawn wood there really ought to be an upcharge for it. If the builder charges no more than the price of a 2-piece while using superior wood and doing extra joining, he or she is doing the buyer a favor.
