FYI, my prior travel guitar was an Emerald X7 (not terribly different size-wise than the Blackbird), but for my last trip in October (after having had to gate check the Emerald several times over the past two years) I bought a Journey OOF420B. I've been really impressed with the volume and playabilty of this guitar, and it's actually been on a stand in my living room for about a month, and I never feel like it's too small (disclaimer - my main acoustic is a Martin 000-15 custom, so I'm not acclimated to playing a dread).
have actually been contemplating getting the OF660 (carbon fiber) and selling the wood OF420B, because I do appreciate the durability benefits of CF. |
