This one has a pretty good range:

I presume you're not looking for free sheet music...
If you are, the only things you'll easily find in full will be out-of-copyright pieces (and most sites want to sell you those too).
You can always google the song title plus "sheet music" (which is what I do), but what normally comes up is sites like the above, with only the first page of the sheet music with a watermark across it.

Good tip! It mostly throws up classical pieces, of course, but mostly complete - and free.

Or explicitly name the song and add pdf:

"Name Of Song" pdf

Often will find a freeby on an obscure site or a book of songs containing the song.

This site has guitar music (both finger style and flatpicking), with the same songs provided both in standard notation and tabs:

http://www.guitarnick.com/

This site has flatpicking songs, only in standard notation (I actually learned about this one from this forum; the website address has "tabulature" as part of it, but the music is in standard notation):

While not free, I suggest paying the license fee for GuitarPro which will make thousands of songs available, many of which have both standard and tab notation. I want to thank whomever suggested Eric Skye's site.
