Default Recommendations on where to buy Yamaha keyboard?

Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can buy a Yamaha p-120 keyboard at a fair price and with good service? Thanks!

http://www.emusicgear.com/ProductDet...oductCode=P120

I believe you can subtract the prices for the "free accessories" and get a nice price. Free shipping, too. When I was shopping for my P-250, Guitar Center matched the price out-the-door. I basically saved $350 dollars this way. I love my P-250...

Oz,

Thanks. Ever heard of www.musiccenterinc.com? I heard that they discount their prices further as dealers are restricted from advertising prices below MAP (minimum advertised price) on their website.

Thanks!

No, I haven't heard of them, but give them a call and tell them what you want and what price you want it for. See if they bite.

I got my P120 at GC and that way you have the 30 day trial. I love my P120. Very playable.

I would have suggested Mars Music but then went out of business. If you are near the MD-VA-DC area, you might want to check out Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center. A lot of selection there. Here's their keyboard website

thanks for the recommendations. in the case of a keyboard, do you think it's better to buy local? it seems like everyone prices the p-120 w/in a relatively tight range.

Depends on what you'll pay in taxes locally vs. what you pay to get the piano to your place. In my case, I took the emusicgear price, subtracted the accessories (if you don't want them), took the price to Guitar Center, they verified it, and after about 30 minutes and two turns toward the front door, they matched the price out the door--taxes and everything.

It was also the end of the month and they were itching to meet their quota, I suspect. You might try the same strategy.

all, thanks for the help. i decided to go with musician's friend since they price matched, didn't have to pay sales tax, and i was able to take advantage of 12 month no interest financing.
