both are nice, bigger thing is what back and sides wood do you prefer as they look to be different.

Is there any way you are able to play both guitars in person? That to me would be much more important than how they look relative to each other.

I chose the FG730 mostly because of the rosewood b/s. I actually like the headstock of the FG700 a little better though. You can't go wrong with either one aesthetically though. Yammies sound, play and look nice.

Just on looks, I picked the first one simply because I liked the headstock binding. I looked at each pic about 1/2 dozen times and really couldn't make up my mind.

Which guitar do you prefer tonewise?

Cool Yamaha Guitar Looks

It was an easy choice for me. I picked #1 for the headstock binding, bound fretboard, body binding, abalone rosette and what I assume to be rosewood back and sides. No question in my mind!

Don't care what they look like...
Care what they sound like!

Guitar A. The burst is clearly nicer and more blended.

I like the richer colors on the burst on A. B seems a little washed out - -
