Oh Holy Night (aka Fret Hand Stupid).

But, it is a one-take so you're hearing lots of room for improvement. Back to painting the house now. Thanks for listening.

I got started on section C last night. Holy cow such crazy stretches. Section C is pretty cool though.

That's my hang-up. There's a 5-fret stretch while holding a barred Am @ the 5th fret, with the little finger to the 10th fret, and then walked down, that's a new move for me. I could move further up the neck but it gets crowded for my big hands and loses the depth I'd like to keep which rapidly begins to decay above the 5th fret. So, practice....

Hashed out the first 4 bars of section C. Tough stuff.

Got the first 12 bars. I'll try to learn the last 4 after Christmas Eve festivities tonight maybe. Luckily I have all next week to finish this tune.

Tommy Emmanuel has an easy version of anything?

Yes, lol. In his TrueFire Fingerstyle Breakthrough lesson the songs are actually playable by mere mortals.

Learned section C (32 bars) and played it through. On to the bridge after firming up section C. I might just come close to finishing this up around New Year's Day.

Going back to the Entertainer tomorrow. I'm going to spread out the tab on our coffee table and see how it plays out playing the whole thing through, as much as I can. I'm going to go back to working on Lutrell, Windy and Warm and re-learn Mississippi Blues too.

I got the bridge worked out and I can play it. Very slowly though. It's quite a finger buster.
