2003 Schoenberg Soloist OM
Honduran rosewood / Italian spruce
$5800

I've been wanting to get my hands on one of these for a long time, and here we go! No hype or exaggeration here - this is one of the best two or three OM's I've ever played, period. Even with the Honduran rosewood, this guitar wants to float right out of your lap. It has that lovely light and airy sparkle, with just the right amount of snap. Very fat trebles and tight bass. It really does check all the boxes. Plays absolutely fantastic, too. This particular one was built by Bruce Sexauer. Love the feel and look of the oil varnish top. Wide nut and string spacing too, so you have lots of room to work. Comes with original hardshell case.

2001 Goodall RCJ
Indian rosewood / Sitka spruce
$2895

The Concert Jumbo is my favorite model of Goodall, and the EIR/spruce variant may just be what got James famous. It's the perfect example of the Goodall sound - complex, smooth, and almost 3D with its projection. This one plays exceedingly well after a recent setup, and it still has a nice tall saddle remaining. It's had 16 years to age, and it's settled into a perfect rosewood CJ in that time. This one has a pickup jack installed, but nothing else. Comes with original hardshell case.

2015 Martin 00 Custom Shop
Claro walnut / Adirondack spruce (VTS)
$3295

I've been lucky enough to have several Martin Custom Shop guitars come through in the last few weeks, and here's another stunner. This one has perhaps the most impressive specs of any of them, including gorgeous highly-figured Claro walnut and a VTS top. This is a slope-shoulder 00, so it's similar to a Gibson L body in shape. Plays great, with lots of room to work thanks to the 1 and 13/16" nut and 2 and 5/16" spacing. You immediately hear the Martin sound, but to my ears it's a little drier and woodier than the average Martin - perhaps because of the walnut. Comes with original hardshell case - the nice embossed CS one. Full spec sheet available upon request!

2013 Santa Cruz OM Grand
Mahogany / Adirondack
$3295

This is my third OM Grand in the shop, and I hope they keep coming! These are OM's with a dose of dreadnought bass and all the extra headroom and projection. This guitar creates an incredible presence - it's very open and airy. Plays fantastic. Comes with original hardshell case.

2010 Martin OM-28 Marquis
Indian rosewood/Adirondack spruce
$2750

I love getting these Marquis guitars in the shop. They are always home runs, and at a very reasonable price point too. This OM will hold its own with anything under $5K. If you can live with a couple of finish checks, this one is a bargain compared to most others on the market. Comes with original hardshell case, which is missing a latch.

2011 Martin CS 000-18GE
Mahogany / Adirondack
$2200

Here's one you don't see every day! This Custom Shop Martin was ordered to exact 000-18GE specs, but with a cutaway and thicker neck profile. I've had plenty of 000-18GE's in the shop, and this one sounds awfully familiar. It has that Martin mahogany/spruce 000 sound - woody and airy, with a warm thump from the 000 body and shorter scale. Comes with original hardshell case.

2008 Goodall KP-14
AAA Curly Koa / Master red cedar
$3700

Every time I play one of James's parlor models, I'm convinced that he's somehow breaking the laws of physics. These guitars simply put out too much sound for a parlor/00 body. They have wonderful projection and focus, too. This one has a ton of color and complexity with the koa/cedar combo, and all of James's signature overtones are present. Plays fantastic. Comes with original hardshell case.
