It's definitely not ugly! There's a MG 4.0XP sassafras/Engelmann model on the way, too.

Is the buckle rash through the finish?

Thanks!

Definitely not - it barely indents into the finish. The area is roughly the diameter of a Coke can. One of those "you can only see it at juuuuust the right angle" things.

2003 Merrill OM-28 Honduran rosewood/Carpathian spruce. Jim's guitars always want to float right out of my lap, and they have that perfect pre-war dry snap and sparkle.

1996 Bourgeois Blues Slope Dread all-koa. You don't see one of these every day! I think this is the first all-koa slope dread that I've seen. Very colorful and layered.
$3595

2005 Bashkin Placencia OM mahogany/cedar. I grabbed this one when it was recently on the AGF, and I may not let it go.
$3895

The koa on that top is spalted, which makes it even more uncommon-- helluva guitar from a helluva seller!

2012 Ed Claxton EMc koa/Sinker redwood. All hyperbole aside - one of the best two or three guitars I've played. I can't say anything bad about this guitar.

2014 Santa Cruz OM Grand African blackwood/Italian spruce. A heck of an OM! Think of it like a dreadnought in an OM body.
$5250

2006 Goodall MhGCC mahogany/Port Orford cedar. A little drier than the average Goodall, but still lots of complexity and overtones. It's crisp and focused, with nice fat treble. A wonderful fingerstyle guitar that can handle moderate strumming.
$3095

2010 Bourgeois Custom Dread
Figured mahogany/Adirondack spruce
$3995

Here's a delightful dread from Bourgeois. This one features a varnish finish, which enhances the response and volume, along with a beautiful set of figured mahogany. Add an Adirondack top and hide glue construction, and you've got a real monster of a dread. Has just been setup to a flatpicking height of 7/64" and feels great. Comes with original hardshell case.

2013 Hatcher Greta
Cocobolo / Sitka spruce
$3995

This is my second Hatcher in the shop, and while it's quite different from the first one, I can definitely see why Mark's guitars are so hot right now. The attention to detail on this guitar is just astounding, and there are nice touches everywhere. Just take a look at the inlays on the top bevel! Beautiful set of cocobolo, and very nice bear claw on the Sitka top, too. Plays fantastic after a recent setup. Comes with original hardshell case. Replacement value on this one is about $7300.
