Default Paul Barerre and Fred Tackett - Live CD

Any Little Feat fans out there?

I just found a live CD of Paul Barerre and Fred Tackett (who joined the band when Lowell George died) playing live accoustic guitars in some club. OUTSTANDING! Terrific funky blues guitar, excellent solos. Some old LF tunes, including: Dixie Chicken and Old Folks Boogie. Boy, their guitars really sound great, too. Barerre plays a soft shoulder Gibson dread, I don't know what Tackett plays. Tackett also plays some mando.

If you like really tight, imaginative accoustic blues (no band, just two guys), and if you dig Little Feat, get it.

Default Little Feat...

Yeah, I have had that one for awhile myself. Some great 12 string on it too. "All that you Dream" is a definite high point. Most anything in the Little Feat section is good,IMHO.

I saw Paul years ago in a club in Rochester, NY. He put together a band with T. Lavits on keybaords, Andy West on bass and Ron Morganstien on drums, all past band mates from TheDregs.

Wow great show.

I'll have to look for this CD.

WOW! That must have been a great show. The Dregs always featured some incredible musicians, especially Steve Morse.

Default I make their seats, Stuart.

When I was touring out of D. C., with Catfish Hodge, we opened for Little Feat on numerous occasions. I forged a friendship with Richie Hayward and the band that is still strong today. Paul is AWESOME! I know you are enjoying the CD.

Stuart, The show was great. I was with my brother and a friend, both drummers. The culb was having some power problems that night and the band lost power 4 times. Rod never missed a beat and went off on solos each time untill the power came back on.

My brother and friend just sat there with big grins and shaking their heads.
