Default Vocal cover for laughs

Hehe. Another one from my "What Was I Thinking" folder. Recorded the vocals a year or two ago using a pre-recorded track. I didn't play a single instrument on this - I just did the vocals.

This is what happens when your friends dare you and you're too stupid to accept it. No matter how hard I tried, I just can't sound country.

Ironically no matter how hard I try not to, people say I sound country! That being said, this is not an easy song sing but you not only pulled it off but sound pretty darn country. It's hard to sing Tim McGraw because he is SO country. Great job, enjoyed it.

Thanks friends. Maybe I'll re-track the vocals while wearing a black cowboy hat and a pair of Justin boots.

Thank you Bob.

Ernie,

It's fine, maybe a tiny tiny bit "over-countrified", but only because I know your natural voice, but it works.

You have a professional level voice, I hope you're working in the industry or get to, your voice is money........

Thank you Rich. This came about after my wife went on a long drive while listening to some country songs. She was born and raised in Texas while I grew up in a small island in Southeast Asia. She gave me a good natured challenge to sound country. I tried my best in the car and we both had a good laugh. I recorded this to show her I can do it but this proves I just "caint."

Seriously though, country vocalists know exactly what they're doing and what they do is a lot more difficult (at least for me) than it sounds.
