Default I did it, custom Fender pickup in an Ibanez.

Well the Frankstein guitar continues to impress.

So I got ahold of William Wiggins the artist of William Wiggins Brand Pickups for Fender. My Ibanez has a middle single pick up and decided I wasn't going to buy a Fender Strat, was gonna change the pick up to Wiggins and l did.

First off Williams pickups are insane. They aren't expensive and comes in all kinds of wood options. I chose Rosewood since that is what my fingerboard is.

Next he asked me how I wanted it to sound, he does the coil winding himself.

If you haven't been to his website here it is.

Before and after pics.

The Frankstien Ibanez RG.

Here is the William Wiggins Pickup out of the box, smells like a campfire (its awesome).

He signs the back with the winding number.

Here it is installed, I need to get a cover to go over the exposed wood showing.

I don't have before sound or after but I can tell you it sounds just like a Fender Strat.

Exactly, I forgot that the stock infinity pickups had covers so I took the dremel and cut off the top. I wasn't going to cover the beautiful rosewood Wiggins pickup.

Pics of my guitar will be on WigginsBrand website shortly. It'll be funny to see an Ibanez guitar with all the Fender customers.

Next up for my Ibanez is a Suhr Doug Aldrich pickup in white for the bridge. I want the Whitesnake 80's type distortion. The neck pickup I'm going towards the Seymour Duncan Jazz in white so I can do ambient songs. I just bought a Line 6 JM4 Looper so its really coming along

Sweet! I've never heard William Wiggins or his pickups before. I'm a little confused - are these made by the Fender Custom Shop?

No, William Wiggins is an Artist by trade I believe, he's never worked for Fender. He's a music fan with several Fender guitars and made is own pickups for fun. Now's he combined both his art and his pickups into a really cool looking great sounding product available to all directly from him.

Watch this review on YouTube to hear his pickups or go to his website.
