Roger
It was a great meeting you and taking some pictures for you. I think your Klein should get some love here, too...good grief! What a guitar!

Plus 1 on Jayson Bowerman! Fantastic builder, caters to musicians. Maybe the biggest bang for the buck builder out there right now. I can't say enough good things about him.

Sounds like you had a party out there. Shame I couldn't be there! (And shame it's closed on Friday since I just got a nice box in my office today...)

I definitely like the Doerr that's there--it's a great one!

Let me know next time there's a gathering.

It was "work" rather than a party, but it's hard to complain when surrounded by those guitars, Josh and Stevie.

Goodness - is Josh's amazing Ryan for sale at MFG? Or privately? Or did I misread your post's intent... ? I followed that build and it sounds like an absolute dream guitar.

Ha, no, Josh did me a favor and brought it for me to try.

I don't think you'll be able to take that Ryan away from him while he's still alive

OK, got it. That makes more sense. Yes, my hope is to (1) outlive Josh, and (2) convince his descendants to sell me his Ryan. It's a long term plan, but then again, that's one fabulous guitar...

I feel lucky to have it all the time. It was awesome getting to hear Roger play it. Let me know what my family says

Now we definitely need to spend some time with each other's builds. Let's find some time to visit Stevie together.

I'll give another bump for Jayson Bowerman. I have a Deschutes model EIR/Adi dread that is absolutely stunning. I bought it after about 3 strums in a noisy room at a festival. It was the first thing in the morning and I stopped by his booth first. They guy beside me said if I hadn't bought it he would have.

I also have a Preston Thompson D-MA Custom on the way in a few weeks so I'll have the EIR and Hog stuff pretty well covered. There must be something in the water in central OR that draws in great builders!

I didn't see a pre-war Martin, and if I had I don't play anything that would do it justice, so I can't answer.

The Klein was super cool. They all are. Mine is still my favorite
