They have to change my BP meds maybe and put me on a blood thinner. I'm now taking something for chlorestoral.
That's good news. I hope you're out of that place soon and recovering well. Good luck!

That's good news, Barry. Praying for more good news to come. I'm not the least bit surprised at the beautiful responses you're receiving. You make a big difference around here with your wit, wisdom, experience, and skill. Take care of yourself. We need you among us for many years to come!

"Charm" was originally on that list, but I thought that might be laying it on a bit thick!

Best of luck & here's to a speedy recovery.

I had a heart attack (myocardial infarction) a bit over 5 years ago & although some of the damage was permanent life returned back to normal (although a little more cautious) for me fairly quickly. It sounds like you're on your way there too.

Default Health and Tax advice

Have your doctor prescribe a banner Gibson, perhaps a nice 00-18 Authentic or Santa Cruz OM Grand. That should keep you resting comfortably for a while.

And a healthy write off to boot

This happened to me and thank God my sight came back. It was a TIA. Like almost a stroke but not really. They took a gob of stuff out of my corroded artery. This happened to my mother and she is blind in one eye. You should get yours looked at.

Thanks everyone! Good news.... I'm coming home today. Adding lipitor a different prostrate med and adjustment to my BP meds. My arteries in my neck are only 30% blocked, well under the 70% threshold for action. Diet changes and the lipitor can reduce the blockage level. I can't wait to get home and relax for a couple of days.

Welcome back Barry, glad to hear it's not looking so bad as it might have been.

Ps. You should maybe stick to nice relaxing topics for a while Baz, I recommend the "Favourite Slippers" thread.

Great news and hope you have a quick recovery from SMan to TBman!

(FWIW If they put you on blood thinners I've been on them for over 25 years and it's been easy to manage)

Thanks guys! I'm home now and relaxing with family. Monday I go to the doctor. The only thing that stinks is that I can't drive until the doctor clears me, but I get to tell my kids, "go get this, go get that", lol.
