Lightbulb 1969 Martin D-18 natural, original VG

Yes 1969 remember those days ? NO
D-18 is a very good example of what was all Martin then, This has the normal B-string crack, no problem as usual, original black pick guard has shrank up some, not lifting. guitar has been stored much. Every thing is original. Sitka Top does have only 2 impressions , That's amazing for a 48 year old.
Head stock is clean no dings or damage at top edge. Neck has a small spot where finished was melted, has no feel when playing, most likely from guitar hanger.
No cracks in sides or back. No strap button installed.
Sweet. Sounds excellent , powerful not boomy, just pure and resonate, a tone 48 years brings.
If your wanting a older D-18 example this is a good one. Get it before price's keep going up on old D-18
Comes with Martin Thermal plastic case
Trade value $2,300. or reasonably price straight sale $2,150.

Hey Cabarone
Seems many older tops developed a short crack from bridge running up to bottom inboard edge of pick guard between B str. and high E. Comes from the way Martin used to apply finish over pick guards .
Naturally cleated inside with factory bracing , These never posse structural problems.
My 66 00 has it also.

That particular mark on the neck behind the nut may have been from it sitting on a synthetic guitar strap while in the case. My D-35 had the same type of reaction with the finish.

Hello Steve
This 69 D-18 Neck has never been off body, it's not really in need of a set right now . Still has saddle to work with. What it needs is strings lowered at nut, a little hard to push down at 1st and 2nd. It's apparently never had a good set up.
Low 6th E string at 12th fret 5/32 High E 3/32

By the way, for any who are not familiar with this seller, take a look at the date he joined AGF...about 15 Years ago.

And in that time, he has earned a fine reputation with strong references.
I am one of those.

We can all trust that it will be as he says.
