A few quick questions for you, Larry - first, is it a six string or a 12 string?

Next question: what's the top wood?

I'd also be interested to learn the scale length and what you're asking for it. I'm a big fan of both koa and Bozo guitars, as you might recall.

Here are a couple that I have finished more recently;

Big Leaf Maple;

Flamed Bacon figured African Paduak;

Flamed Claro Walnut with curly Redwood Top;

And a flamed Koa;

I currently have sister wood sets of any of these and more! Except for the African Paduak but, that guitar is for sale.

Mark

Those would have to be really big pockets for those guitars to fit into. A gig bag may be a better option.

Thanks RustNeverSleeps! It was a bit nerve racking bending the sides for this one:

I feel lucky to work with these woods. I've been stocking up on domestic woods like these because of pricing and trade restrictions. You can get exhibition grade domestic woods for less money than ok grade exotics.

The African Padauk would be the exception, of course. When I saw a couple of these sets I just snapped them up and haven't seen anything like them since.

I prefer the look of tight, straight grained wood with even coloring. I limit the highly figured stuff of contrasting species (color) to the binding and perhaps the major ring in a rosette replacing the usual MOP.

I don't even know what to do with an electric guitar, but the things Paul Reed Smith does with quilted maple and dye are simply stunning.

Count me among those who like highly figured wood. The first one below is one I built recently with curly claro walnut and the second one I built a couple years ago using "waterfall" bubinga.
