Default Karol Harp guitar

This is the first harp guitar built by Canadian builder Tony Karol. I am the original owner. The guitar is in very good to excellent condition, but it has been played a lot. I have used this guitar at several hundred weddings and events in the past 5 years.
It is a great sounding harp guitar. I have purchased another instrument and possibly have another on the way.
The back and sides are Makore, not sure what the top is specifically. Guitar has a slight fan fret, cutaway and arm bevel. It is outfitted with Dual K&K PWM pickups wired to a stereo jack. I typically only use the guitar neck pickups and got plenty of sound from the sub bass.
The case is custom made ameritage, the handles have been repaired. the case has typical scuff marks that come from moving around.
Current price for this model is $9500. I am asking $7000 plus actual shipping charges. Paypal is fine. 48 hour approval period.

More pictures are available and lots of youtube clips.

Randall I'm stunned that you would sell your Karol. I've always admired this guitar from afar. I'm sure that what you're getting must be pretty special for you to let this beauty go. Folks, this is one outstanding harp guitar. If you have ever thought of getting into playing one this is a heck of a deal for a great instrument. Oh, and they are only going up in price. Best of luck on your sale!

This is very tempting for me. If I wasn't purging about 6 guitars right now we'd be talking. Best of luck with this sale. A very nice guitar.

It is a very nice guitar! If it doesn't sell my feelings will not be hurt. I just acquired this Beardsell,
http://www.harpguitarmusic.com/listi...rdsell2008.htm
When Gregg Miner described it as one of the greatest sounding harp guitar on the planet, I had to try it.
I'm not sure that it's practical to alternate between a guitar with six subs and one with seven.
That being said, if anyone has ever thought about getting into the Harp guitar world, this Karol guitar is an excellent way to do it.

I thought I would chime in on this offering. I played this guitar at the Montreal guitar festival. I was so taken by its beauty, tone, and playability that I promptly contacted Tony Carol and ordered one in cocobolo for myself. I could not have been more pleased with the guitar Tony built for me. My guitar is pictured on his website for those of you who might be seriously considering Teleplucter's guitar. All I can say is that anyone in the market for a hand built premium harp guitar will be extatic with this beautiful instrument. This is a great price for a rare and wonderful harp guitar. Buy with confidence!

Thanks for the kind words. It is a great price and a great guitar. I have the Beardsell and some day in the near future my long lost McCollum harp guitar will come back. My son has a Duane Nobel that we bought from Gregg also.
www.harpguitarmusic.com/listings/hg-noble4.htm
The Karol and the Nobel are very similar in tone.
I actually feel kinda guilty about offering this one up for sale, I got to meet Tony Karol at the Harp Guitar Gathering, he's a great guy and a very talented guitar builder. However you can only play so many Harp Guitars, so if there is someone looking for a HG at a great price, send me a message.
I am not really looking for a trade at this point.

Found an old email from Tony that describes this guitar "This particular harp has makore back and sides, a lutz spruce top, and african blackwood binding, armrest, and headplates. The rosettes are spalted maple, with the top having black/green/black accent lines. Tuners are Gotoh 510 18:1 ratios in gold w/composite button."

Smile Wow!

Nice nice nice axe!

Your compilation video is great, too. Looking and sounding fine!

I am confused enough with six strings! Haha. Don't know how you harp guitar folks do it, but I am happy to listen!

Best on the sale of a super axe.

Cheers

Paul
