Out on the road today
Saw a Dead Head sticker on a Cadillac. A little voice inside my head said: "Don't look back, you can never look back."

Got a bunch...but one is from a hometown guy..
I could write volumes on this subject...but one of my favorite is from writer Russell Smith of the Amazing Rhythm Aces....he's from my hometown of Lafayette, Tn....from the hit Third Rate Romance
"I've never really done this kind of thing before...have you?" And another is from Good Ole Boys Like Me "Those Williams boys they still mean a lot to me...Hank & Tennessee" This song has a bunch of great lines.... "It's not clinging to the rocks and ivy Planted on their columns now that binds me"

Here's one of mine...always wanted to get this line in a song and finally did it..hey, I'm from a small town...
"Drive by that liquor store just outside of town circle the block and pull in when there's no one around Hose' or Jim Bean hell either one will work You beg God that you don't see a single soul from church" from the soon to be big smash hit..."What Ever Gets You Thru The Day"

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
The heart has it's beaches, it's homeland and thoughts of it's own. Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin' brings, But the heart has it's seasons, it's evenin's and songs of it's own. -Eyes of the World (R. Hunter and J. Garcia) |
