Beautiful!

Is it an optical illusion from the bevel, or is the treble side slightly wider at the lower bout than the bass?

Its a big bevel, cutting a big slice out of the bass side of the top. the top is symmetrical if you measure from the sides to the center.

Quite handsome, brother! This is the guitar from "A" tree, yes?
Looks like it need not hang its head!

Thanks bro. And yes you are right about the mahog source. Funny how a less definite article can drop the price over 3900 per set.
I'm wondering what other parts of speech are worth. "This tree". Or "that tree" might have some intermediate value. Worth exploring.

Smile It is here!

It is here and it is mind bogglingly Bad A**.

John has outdone himself. Best sounding guitar I have ever heard, let alone played!!!

Steve is here and Rod came over and we have been playing it for 4 hours or so.
Full review soon, but it is a keeper and has already swept me off my feet.

Two gigs tomorrow, so may be a couple days for further updates!

Thank You John

Play on AGF!

Cheers

Paul

Yep, mahogany can be boring, but not THAT mahogany! There's some kind of underlying sparkle that keeps catching my eye. I think it is absolutely beautiful! And the rib bevel reminds me of my most comfortable electric guitars. I can only imagine the lush, full sound this guitar has. In the past, I really didn't see myself as a "mahogany guy", then played some of the all-mahogany Taylor models...wow, they really brought me around to what mahogany can do. I would love to hear how this guitar sounds with that cedar top. As nice as some of the funkier woods can be, this one stands out for me. Great work!

Amazing work, absolutely stunning.
Just curious, was it built as a 100% dedicated finger-style guitar or is it happy to handle strumming as well?

Can I say the word "GUSHING" here????

I think I would be pretty accurate with that word as a descriptor of Paul's impression of this guitar earlier. He and I had some personal dialogue and he was just ecstatic with enthusiasm. i was thrilled to hear his response...and expected it since I got to play it just a couple of weeks ago. I played it freshly strung up and it was awesome...can only imagine with a week or so of settling that this is unreal.

I'm so very happy for you Paul...and another Happy Birthday to you!!
