Collings OM1 traded
I want to move entirely to short scale.
Collings OM1 Mountain cedar and Sitka top with Adirondack bracing. Also includes the new Collings case which is a masterpiece itself. $3200. This guitar is in excellent condition except some small marks on top. Light weight, easy to play, and it really sings! Last edited by Psfam; 02-18-2018 at 10:53 AM. |

I put pictures into a link that you can open. The first case is the Collings case with pictures of the guitar following. The second case is for the Froggy Bottom with its pictures following.
There are four small marks on the top of the Collings which I attempted to photograph. They are only caught in reflection, do not break the finish and unless you are looking for them are not noticeable. I think they look worse in the pictures than in real life. Psfam is a terrific person to do business with!
And, the Collings OM1 is a stellar instrument. This one used to be mine and I sold it Psfam awhile back. Someone will be very pleased with this guitar and transaction with the seller!

GLWS Psfam. I totally get the desire to move to short scale. It’s what I’ve been doing myself.

IF it were short scale...
If it were short scale, it would sound different though.
Thanks for the kind comments. I think Kh1967 went to all 1 11/16" nut widths or this guitar might still be hers! The regular scale adds a snap to the sound maybe? I ended up preferring a C10 short scale to this one and it is my go to for finger style. It doesn't compare to this OM1 for strumming though. If you want a good all around, the OM is great. Even for finger style it is more full and articulate than the C10, but I just like the C10. And the wood? Incredibly beautiful. And then there is the case |
