What is the playing difference between a 13 fret and a 14 fret? Are the strings looser or is the tightness of the strings the same? Also, what is the neck shape compared to a Taylor or Goodall (which is what I currently own)?

Yes the scale really does make difference in string tension. I love it. It makes the guitar very easy to play. That combined with the almost electric guitar neck shape, makes this Charis have a very light touch to play.
