Default What is the correct string height for Eastman E20OM

Hi Sirs,

I just recently bought my very first guitar (Eastman E20-OM) and wanted to know the proper setup to make the action better and easy playability without the tone being affected.

What is the correct height of the strings from the fretboard.

Thanks in advance and appreciate your replies.

Cheers,
Dan

I typically go for 3/32nds on the low E-string and 2/32nd on the high E-string measured from top of twelfth fret to the bottom of the string on acoustic guitars. But it's really a matter of personal preference.

The first thing you will want to check is that the nut is set up properly. Get the action there corrected if necessary before lowering the saddle. You also want to make sure the neck has the proper relief or is dead flat before adjusting action as well.
