Maybe it's just me! And maybe I should quit drinking beer?

Now my drinks go on a case BEHIND me when I'm playing.
We were on the road this time last year in CA and a server dropped a TEASPOON of beer right down my partner's keyboard's volume slider. Killed it. On a Saturday night. We had like 2 more gigs to do that weekend, too.

Have you considered placing your pedalboard off to the side?

When I'm playing solo, I really need to have my pedals right in front of me so I can easily access the looper and harmony pedal. Honestly, it's usually not an issue unless I'm playing in a really small tight space where people are right on top of me. I've actually thought about buying one of these for protection in those places!! Ha! I'm only half joking..

A tarp and some bungees would be cheaper and pack better.

For my "I should have gotten one sooner". I very recently upgraded my barn door preamp on my 2001 Takamine LTD to a CT4BII. I played a gig last night and there was a lot of compliments on my guitar tone. It seems that the information that I've gleaned off of this site is helping me to improve my tone. A special thanks to the information that Noledog post about Takamines and for a source for buying the preamp.

An item that I like to take when I setup my stage is a piece of carpet. I use it to cover the cables and extension chords that are on and around where I perform.

I can take better close up pix if anyone wants them.

The mixer holder has a piece of plywood mounted to it and has holes drilled out for where the rubber feet of the mixer are so it sits safely and cannot slide off.

The guitar hanger uses one of these mounted to a wooden dowel which is inserted into the pvc. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see it.

FYI. Here's how I made the guitar hanger and mixer shelf. I have holes drilled out for the rubber feet of my two different mixers.

I should have bought a Sharpie for labeling my pedalboard that wasn't red.

Midwinter, ever try that MXR Bass Preamp with acoustic? Being semi-parametric and compact, it'd be intriguing if it worked nicely!

I have not. Never occurred to me. The bass wouldn't do much (40hz), and the EQ points in the mids are low, but within the range of an acoustic, so theoretically it should work.
