Default Any CF 12 String Guitars under $1000

I am searching for a 12 string and it can be a carbon fiber or wood. If you know of any decent CF 12 string under $1000 new or used, please let me know. And thanks in advance.

It's highly unlikely you'll find a CF 12 string for under $1k. I think Emerald may be the only CF builder making a 12 string right now. As for a wood 12 under $1k new or used, the Taylor 150e should be considered.

I am currently running a thread in this forum under WTB for a 12 string but felt there may be some good info here as well. Thanks.

It's not likely that you will find a 12 string CF for under $1000 new or used. Best bet is Emerald. If you want to do some fancy book keeping you should consider the Emerald double neck. You can get it and then subtract the price that an Emerald 6 string X20 would cost new which would put the price well under $1000 for the 12 string part.

I payed considerably more than that for my Rainsong 12.

Emerald is the only current manufacturer of a CF 12, and even used will be well above a grand.

^^ This. I have only seen used Rainsong's six strings under $1000 twice, and bought one of them for a friend. Even used, CF does not come cheap, and Rainsong did not make that many 12-strings back when they were in production. Emerald has an Opus X20-12 listed as in stock at the moment, but at $1800. It would be hard to find a used RS 12-er at that price.

Ovation, but I don't know if that's what you had in mind.

That's what I would suggest. I have a RainSong 12 that is amazing, but is about double your budget.

Jumbo is a little big for my aging right shoulder (too many dirt bike crashes in my misspent youth). But I would love to find a decent deal on a WS-3000, the WS body still being comfortable me to play. In the meantime, I'm considering the Emerald X20-12.

The doubleneck as a 12 might be an option also. I think it might be slightly thinner than the X20.
