Default Epiphone SST Studio Piezo Replacement

I just picked up on if these and noticed that the strings seem unbalanced when amplified. Can anyone suggest a replacement piezo pickup for this guitar??

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

The first step would be to make sure the saddle slot bottom is flat and that the saddle itself is flat on the bottom. Also you need to be sure the saddle is not binding in its slot. Working on the saddle is not too difficult a job to do yourself, but I would take the guitar to a luthier if the saddle slot bottom is not flat.

Replacing the saddle with something of high quality and uniformity is not a bad idea either. The AGF prefers bone, but I prefer Tusq for its uniformity and good performance (maybe a great piece of bone is better, but how do you know it's great before investing a lot of work?).

If everything is flat, this is what I do. I tape off the bottom of the saddle under the loud strings. I then paint the rest of the saddle bottom with thin cyanoacrylate glue. I apply four coats then I remove the tape and file off any lip that formed along the bottom of the saddle from the glue.

Reinstall the saddle and check the balance. Repeat until the balance is where you want it.
