Default CA Legacy with 80/20 Bronze sounds awesome!

I recently switched my guitar strings form phosphor bronze to 80/20 bronze on my CA Legacy COT dreadnaught and the sound is incredible. I'm now reminded of why CA made such a huge splash when the came out. The tone actually sounds better than my D18 (which also has new strings). I found a great mic combination for studio recording that works extremely well with this guitar as well. There is no question in my mind that Composite Acoustics are the best guitars available. I've compared mine to many great guitars over the years and I always like the sound of my COT better.

I'm a fan of the 80/20s on CF guitars - they seem to take some of the metallic edge off the sound.

I can't wait to put them on my CA GX model too. Do they make 12 string sets in 80/20 bronze? I'd love to put them on my CA 12 too!!

I'm getting some of the best acoustic guitar tones ever with my Legacy now. It honestly sounds better than my D18s.

Yes as far as I know they only make the 12 strings sets in the Nano Web 80/20's which I use and love on just about any 12 string I own.

How do you like the Fishman Aura system compared to the LR Baggs Imix system? I have the Baggs system and love it. Does the aura sound as good??

I have owned and still own 2 CA guitars. Both mine now have the Aura System and I think it sounds fantastic and is very easy to use for as much as it will do.

In the past several CA's I've owned did have the Baggs I-Mix system with the Element UST and the I-Beam. For plug & play it was a great sounding pickup and super easy to get a good sound out of with good output.

I will say overall the Aura system is to my ears at least a more complex and better overall tone.

Yes.Definitely. My second set of strings that I put on my JM1000 were pb....because that's what I use on my wood guitars. I had not even finished paying for the guitar and I was thinking "OMG... was this guitar a big mistake?"
Then put 80 20s back on and WOW....big weight lifted off my shoulders. Beautiful sound with 80 20.

I have the Rainsong H-WS1000N2, I don't know how the full carbon ones sound, but the hybrid CF/fiberglass body sounds better to my ears with 80/20's.

I have a CA GX. After considerable experimenting, 80/20s are by far my favourite. I've tried other brands but I settled on John Pearse.

I have a Rainsong Parlor and likewise the 80/20 sound better on it, specifically I like the newer D'Addario New York Steel strings.
