I think the answer is an unqualified yes, but will add a cautionary note ...

I have a Hybrid Rainsong, so the top (CF/fiberglass blend) is not as hard as a pure CF top. That top has acquired two dents. One is from a pretty hard whack. Probably hard enough to break a wooden top, and all I got was a small dent. The other dent is of unknown provenance. Those dents cleared up my misconception that my CF guitar would be nearly bulletproof. All that aside, the answer is still yes, a CF guitar will travel better than a wooden guitar.
