Default NGD: Alvarez Blues 51/TSB

Thanks to the great advice in my recent thread here, I went ahead and bought the Alvarez Blues 51/TSB for my daughter in recognition of her completing her studies.

I haven't seen the guitar live yet (she's away with her boyfriend), but she just sent me a couple of photos with the comments:
"It's wonderful, soooo beautiful"
"It sounds and plays so much better than the old guitar"
"You can't compare it to the other guitar - a world of difference"

I think that means it was a good buy

Now some pics (sorry about the poor quality)....

Here's how it looks in my daughter's hands

Good choice, you can't go wrong with Alvarez. I've been wanting to try one of the models from that line for a while, but can't find them anywhere around me.

Sweet! I own a couple of Alvarez parlors - love 'em. This one looks like a winner as well. Congrats and thanks for the picture of one happy guitar player!

Best,
Jayne

You're welcome. Yep, my suggestion in that thread. Glad she likes it.

Now I want one.

HNGD for your daughter! The Blue51 is a cool little guitar. I got one a couple of weeks ago and can't put it down. Wasn't aware it was available as a 14-fret (mine's a 12-fret with a traditional bridge).

Looks great, have they changed the specs on the Blues51/TSB? They had a traditional rectangular bridge, not the Alvarez-style one shown here.

THe only guitar I can find on their website that looks like that is the blues 51, except for the bridge.

Blues 51 is 12 frets, arched back, rectangular bridge, back shifted bracing. Go to 3:07 of the video

Swissguy, think you can get your daughter to photo the label on the inside of the guitar to get the model number?
