I had a Washburn 12 for a number of years that ended up making me believe that I'm just not a 12 string sort of fellow.....traded it eventually. But I've had a few Taylor 12 strings in my hands that make me think I could be a 12 string guy - they play like 6 strings, and the Taylor necks make the tuning and intonation issues seem like they aren't really there.

I've never tried a boutique or upper end custom 12 string, or any of the Guilds I hear other recommend - but Taylor makes a great production 12 string guitar, in my opinion.

Anything in a 12-string Taylor, from their lowest- to highest-priced models is where I'd start looking, and especially in the 300 Series and up offerings.

My dream 12 string would be a Guild jumbo Body with a Taylor neck.

Looks like a great buy at $300
I played one of these in a small shop a few weeks ago and liked it quiet a bit. It played pretty good and I liked the sound. Different than my guild, but nice.

There was one and it was built by Martin.
The Martin Grand J12-40E Special.
How do I know?
I have one ... and a Guild jumbo ... and a Taylor jumbo.

It was expensive - twice the price of a new Guild.
It was dropped from production after 3 years 2009/10/11.
Only 231 were made.

Neck thickness of the Taylor 355 jumbo at 1st fret is 23.11mm and 9th fret was 25.19mm
Neck thickness of the Martin jumbo at 1st fret is 23.28mm and 9th fret 26.69mm

Second the Guild.

I've never played the D1212 but love my Guild F2512.

It's a jumbo with lam back and sides with an archback. Comes in ~500 bucks and plays/sounds great.

Also sounds solid plugged in. Love this 12 string

- Lag T66D12 12
- Luna Wabi Sabi 12

I am looking particularly into the Luna Wabi Sabi 12, if anyone has this guitar or has ever played it or if anyone can recommend Luna guitars. Then that would be great!!

Thanks
If price is no issue why are you shooting for the lowest cost/quality choices, then?
