Default SOLD! Martin OM28 Authentic 1931

This is a pristine, as-new Martin OM28 Authentic. It has an incredibly balanced, dry (and slightly airy/ethereal) vintage-tinged tone, and is sweet and very responsive and adaptive to any playing style, soft or aggressive. It shines at both fingerstyle and flat picking.

It's as good an OM as I've ever played... and what I finally realize is that OMs just aren't for me. I've owned some fantastic Santa Cruz, Collings, Martin Adi/Madis, including this one. I ordered this a while ago (and cleared out most everything else, planning to keep this OM and my dread.) But it's the balance that OMs do so well, and for which they're prized, that just isn't what my ear prefers. Plus, I have a torrefied-top dread, and while obviously dreads and OMs are different beasts, there are definitely some similarities tonally between these two. So I'll probably go for an 0 or 00 or similar, to add something on the smallest end of the spectrum, to complement my dread.

it's Adirondack (torrefied) over Madagascar rosewood, and hide glue construction. 1 3/4" nut, and string spacing at bridge is 2 5/16"

Asking $4800 ***SOLD****, shipped. Not really looking for trades, but to balance out my dread with a smaller-bodied guitar I might be temped by a Bourgeois 0, 00 or a Santa Cruz H, plus cash.

Are you located in San Francisco? Also, I definitely agree that the OMs wouldn't really contrast too much with a D, so you're not crazy, in case you were wondering!

Can't afford this but just curious -- I don't see Martin's logo or decal.

I'm tempted to buy it just for that reason! It would match my OM 18GE...
