Default How Are Your Ears?

I know this has been done before, but I thought it would be interesting in light of various threads going around the boards at the moment. I came up with a simple strummed piece* and recorded it very simply on four different guitars. Which is which?

The Guitars:
2013 Martin HD-28V strung with Elixir PB Lights (on for about four months but the guitar has not been played much).
2014 Martin 000-15SM strung with Elixir 80/20 Lights (on for two months played more than the 28)
1946 Gibson LG-2 strung with D'Addario EXP Lights (on for four months played moderately)
1917 Washburn Parlour strung with Thomastik Plectrum Lights (on since last night)

Pick: Tusq Mic: Apogee Mic (recorded into Logic Pro X).

The clips:

Test 1
Test 2
Test 3
Test 4

* Before I get pilloried, it's not the greatest piece of music or playing... but that wasn't the point.

No one wants to play?

I don't care if I'm so wrong they laugh at me!

Test 1 is the Washburn parlor
Test 2 is the Martin HD-28
Test 3 is the Martin 000-15
Test 4 is the Gibson LG

Those are my guesses and I'm sticking to it!

1. Gibson LG-2
2. Martin HD-28V
3. Martin 000-15SM
4. Washburn Parlour

I was having fun trying to guess the guitar sizes/materials before even looking at the unsorted list. And aside from being unsure whether the third was another dread or an OM/000, all my guesses were available in the list Though I thought the third was spruce/mahogany, rather than mahogany top, and I'm a little disappointed at myself for that Or maybe that's what confused me to thinking it might be a dread?

Might get more responses if your embedded players worked (they all say "Oops! This track can't be played outside of SoundCloud"
But the outgoing links do work.

i liked them all but #2 is the sound i like and i think it is the martin with mahogany top or the gibson only because of its age.
numbers 1 & 4 sound like parlors. that is as far as i can go.

Yeah, any clues on how to fix that? I've noticed sometimes they work, sometimes they don't... but the links are all 'good' (and SoundCloud tells me that those tracks are playable outside of SoundCloud).

Difficult exercise, I'm really not sure but let's try, I'd say:

1. Gibson?
2. Martin HD 28
3. Martin 00015S?
4. Washburn Parlor??

I was hoping a few more people might join in...

In the meantime, I thought I'd throw something else into the pot, maybe an extra challenge. I recorded each of the guitar parts into a Logic timeline... then I more fully mixed and 'finished' the piece....

I added drums
I added a bass part
I added a little acoustic steel
I removed one guitar part
I panned one of the other ones to hard left
I panned one of the others to hard right
I centred the third

Altogether Now

I think we often discuss guitars as a single lone instrument. It is more interesting, to me, to hear them 'in the mix'. So what is now where?

I came up with the same guesses. This is a nice diverse set of guitars!
