I think my CA Cargo sounds great through an acoustic amp! Plugged directly into a PA I have to go thru my LR Baggs Venue to control the low rumble feedback but I get a lot of compliments on the sound.
No experience with recording it but I believe all acoustic guitars sound best when recorded with a mic/second-source combination.

Two ways I record into Garage Band, acoustically through a digital mic, mine a Blue Spark. Or buy a USB interface and go in electrically. I like the mic sound.

The Baggs Element that comes standard in the Cargo is a pretty typical UST. It will sound fine direct into a PA or acoustic amp.
For recording, you're almost always going to get better results with a mic, as opposed to plugging in. The easiest way to get started would be to get a USB mic (like a Blue Snowball). |
