That is what I am currently using on my Shorty - very happy with the sound and feel.

The gauges are .012, .016, .025, .035, .045,.056 I use to use Medium gauge all the time, don't know why I got away from them. I also notice that bending the strings on Blues type songs has a better pitch bend than the lighter gauges. I did however really like those poly's. (for a little while)

Yep, I like Polys better than Nanos on my H-WS. After the Nanos I tried DR Dragonskins, not sure about those vs. Nanos.

I picked up a Rainsong Parlor from Ted not too long ago and have tried a few different types of strings.
The Polywebs do tame the glassiness/dryness a bit, but not a holy grail in my experience. I still prefer uncoated strings for feel and sound. The crispness of carbon really seems to counter the boxy nature of a parlor. As players, it's great to have so many string options. T. |

If someone wants to let me borrow their Rainsongs I will gladly put the strings of your choice and then give my opinion.
Just saying. |

I find the polywebs "stiff" compared to the nanowebs of the same gauge. (Not sure why this is) They do tame the brightness (thus are warmer) but I prefer the PB nanowebs myself. The polywebs are good to at least try to see if you like them.

I always used Nanos cause they feel like normal strings. But not sure that's just not a habit? No noise sliding is not a bad thing?

Which are the ones that have the nasty habit of shredding all over the place?
The Elixirs that came with my Shorty were a bit trebbly. I replaced them with PB EXP's but would like something a touch brighter. Thought I might try some PB Elixirs (instead of 80/20s) but I hated the way the old ones always looked and felt like a battered pinata after a while.
