Default X-Files Season 11 (Jan 2018)

Season 11 of the X-Files is currently being filmed. Both Mulder and Scully are returning for a 6 episode season, just like they did last year. Main theme is around Scully and Mulder's son. It appears the show will cast some light on the Smoking Man's history.

I know we have some X-Files fans here. Does this peak your interest?

I’m a huge fan of the show. Last season was not my favorite but I still enjoyed it. Anytime Mulder and Scully get together to solve anything is entertainment to me.

I hope Chris Carter does more stand alone conspiracies and monsters of the week. The mytharc has been screwed quite a bit already it’s best left alone, IMHO.

Seemed to me they were having a lot of fun with themselves in that last offering. Sculls kept saving Mulder, for instance, and lots of little jibes and inside jokes.
I thought it was fun.

Meh.......IMO, they went 4-2. And I thought one of them was just awful, but it was worth viewing just to watch Scully

Don't get me started on there, their and they're (or to, two and too or for, four and fore (!) for that matter)...mistakes with these, and many other, three word homonyms just piques my interest.

As Sage mentioned, it wasn't their best. There was 1 or two episodes I just didn't care for. There were also a couple that I loved.

Hey Ernie, I was hoping you'd chime in. Gillian Anderson said this would be her last season .

There were a couple of episodes in the original series that covered a lot of the Smoking Man's history, such as his role as the shooter in the Kennedy assassination.

I saw that episode, but only recently, in the Fox rerun series they've been showing of late. I had totally missed that one in the original run.

I read that too. Said that she only decided to do this last upcoming season bec the last one didn’t close things nicely for the fans. To me, it’s either they wrap things up nicely this time around (although I seriously doubt that if Carter is writing the mytharc) or she’s just trying to see how this “second reboot” goes. Better scripts and mo’ money seem to effectively convince actors to do one more.

Did you read somewhere that they were only going to do 6 eps? I thought they were doing 2 mytharcs and 8 stand alones for a total of 10.
