I ran across this from a friend who got his SoundSeat in August. Thought it was worth sharing here.

"Today I received my soundseat and will give my initial thoughts of the chair. The company was very helpful and easy to deal with and delivery was quick even though each chair is built per order. The packaging was fantastic with all components completely protected. Assembly was very quick, 10 minutes including unpackaging. Assembly instructions were very concise with good photos. I ordered the brown which is a dark chocolate color and is very attractive to my eye. I ordered the chair with a back rest, foot ring, and foot rest which are all adjustable. The seat is equipped with a gas adjustable cylinder also. I also went with castors on the chair feet. The chair is well built with quality components and will be used by someone long after I'm gone.* I've only played for an hour with this chair at this point but at 68 years of age with a history of back issues, I can honestly say this chair is very, very comfortable for me. I believe my playing time will increase dramatically!"

So are the components made someplace else and then assembled by Soundseat?

Have tried calling them like six times without an answer, but I will keep calling

I guess you missed my humor. Yes, I did read the previous posts. The OP wanted to see photos of seats and my joke was, I guess, that they all looked like... well, seats.

I cannot consider one as there is no place to put it when the room has to be cleared out for another purpose. And my folding chair is OK (though not for the harpist). It's actually a pretty nice folding chair, vintage, solid wood, came from a Grange Hall some decades ago. And I am NOT implying that it is comparable to a Sound Seat.

Is there some hour where it's better to try and call them? Still haven't received any response on email, or on the phone :-(

When I ordered mine, I called twice and left messages and they took about a week and a half to call me back. You're dealing with a small company that makes a quality product.

This seems too long, perhaps Bretta has some personal issues to attend to? Here is the email Bretta and Lois used to communicate with me.

Thank you!

Ok, good point. You need to edit your quote.

Let's hope I'll hear from them

Another question, how would you guys say the fit of the soundseat is? I reckon it isn't made for skinny Scandinavian buttocks, but the normal version is perhaps okay?

A run-of-the-mill Staples swivel office chair with no arms works for me. Under 100 bucks

Well, I'm finally sold on ordering a sound seat for myself.

I've got high hopes for the positives it will bring to my seated hobbies - both musical and artful.

I went to the website, filled out an order form, and the page says a representative will be in touch to complete the order process.

I selected the Gas Lift Guitar Seat with Standard Back, and Casters, in Black.
