This batch has quite a variety of interesting builds. Some will use bar frets others t frets. Some carbon fiber rods for trusses and others ebony. Most are based on mid twenties-mid thirties models. There are a 21, 28s, 30, 42 as well as a 45 style being built in this batch.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I really appreciate it!
I built my first 8 instruments more or less one at a time and I don't feel that I "lose touch" with the individual instruments at all. After working with them so much I learn everything about them so it's no problem Got some celluloid for pickguards today. I had to order it from China since Axiom woulnät ship to Sweden. The pattern is really good, color is a little on the red side. Would like to find some material that is browner/darker to have some options. Any ideas? I had some problems with the sides on Brads D45, they cupped/rippled. Every once in a while you get some sides that are really stubborn! I think I'm going to bend them straight and use them for peghead veneers instead. However, bent the new sides today, glued the blocks, profiled the sides and glued kerfed lining. The box will be closed shortly! Per |

Per, talk to Bryan Kimsey on UMGF or Bob Colosi. They have some really nice pickguards.

Just a short update. Maybe more to follow.
Before. And after, this time with the builder. I think he likes that back wood. Thanks Per!

45S pics .
It's really coming along. Here are a few more from Per.
It's no wonder the guitars look so nice. Look where they are being made. Nice sound hole shot. Top arch. And back. Looks like it's dark outside, but Per says it is light almost 24/7 this time of year. And the back. What can you say. And then there were 9 boxes done. Two more, and moving on to the necks, I think. Oh, and Per has an OM-28 available in this batch now, if you're interested, get on it before the neck is carved. OK Matthew, where's your's now? Thanks Per!

42 update.
The tuners are in. Some real nice hand etched Antique Acoustic Brass - Hand engraved 3 on a plate w/ small oval MOP buttons. Should coordinate well with the Alternate Torch set in Ebony on the head stock.
And finally, in surgery, under tape and gobs of glue, a down and dirty picture of the 42. It will be finished with a Flamed Koa binding next week. Per used temporary celluloid binding until the Koa is available. Per tells me the celluloid will peel right off the wood purfling because it doesn't stick well using the hot hide glue. This is Per's first Pearl border! We'll have to wait and see how it turned out once the wraps are off. Stay tuned. Thanks Per!
