Battery stuck in electric acoustic!!!!
Greetings all. I have a Taylor 214CE, and recently I put a 9v battery in it that will NOT come out. I have had this issue before, and have been able to take the battery holder out and wiggle it free of the casing, but this time, I cannot even get the casing out of the guitar. The whole thing is stuck in there and will not budge. HEEELLLP!!!!!
Should I just wait and see if after use the battery compresses, or should I try an alternate method of getting it out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How long has the battery been in the guitar? Corrosion would cause the problem you're having.

So the compartment will not pop open? Take the strings off and reach in, see if you can give it a little leverage from inside while you hold the release catch open on the outside. Next step - luthier!
Or if you mean the battery is stuck in the little plastic holder, that's different and you should be able to push in the tab that keeps the battery in place.

When you aren't going to be using an A/E for a period of time, remove the battery, place it in a baggy, and put it in the case.

When you do get it out , you should put a strong cloth strip out the sides , so next time you can pull the straps -and presto -battery out !. The longer its in the their the more opportunites their are for corrosion . Once a year replace the battery reguardless of use.

Sorry for the late response!
Hello all, sorry for the late response. I have been swamped with school.
The battery AND plastic casing are stuck in the guitar. It was a tight fit when I put it in, and now is stuck. I think the luthier option might be my only one.
