Sounds like you are digging yourself deeper hole, place it gently in it's case, and get thee to a qualified tech. IJS...

Be very careful. If it is not already broken, you don't want to be the one to break it.

If you are feeling adventurous, I think you could back the nut all the way off and take a look. You might be able to see if it is stripped or broken. The safest thing to do would be to take it to an expert.

Took me a while (20 minutes) but by pushing it in really hard (I have a sore thumb now) i was able to get it back to the position I started with.

Weirdest thing. I've had truss rods that were stuck and didn't want to move and I've had a friends that was stripped (both ways) but never one that was only stripped clockwise but not counter-clockwise. Fortunately it's still very playable.

Going to take it in to my local shop.
