This is a good one, but it's pricey and I'm looking for other possible solutions and models that people might have used.

Yes, about 80% will be on vertical hooks, just like the ones in a guitar store (that's what the FretRest GH1BKs are for). However, inside my office I have several spaces above pictures and bulletin boards that will hold one guitar each, but ONLY if mounted side-to-side horizontal; otherwise the space goes wasted.

I'm trying to utilize every square inch of wall space available to me, and this is the only thing that will work.

Thanks!

The only thing I've come across advertised is a company called Aclam but they are for electrics. I don't recall seeing anything for acoustics anywhere.
Mtsusean: Forgive me; it appears I neglected to respond to your question.

I'm mainly hanging guitars vertically, but I have several wall spaces where I have just enough room above a framed picture or a bulletin board, neither of which I can move, either out of necessity or by design.

I'm buried in guitars and can barely walk in my office. I have wall space for two or maybe three guitars to be mounted horizontally. Gotta maximize every inch.

Thanks for posting.

This idea comes from way outside the box:

Have you considered hanging them from the ceiling using hooks and hammocks? Lots of unused space up there.

Where's the clever engineer who can design a system that includes a pulley for easy up and down?

Amy, very creative thinking. I love getting out of that box. Hmm, gotta ponder that one. You knocked me off my perch.

I don't think that mounts to a wall though, but to a stand of some sort.

As Marty correctly pointed out, that unit is NOT for screwing to a wall. The specs make this clear:

"The Quik-Lok Horizontal Acoustic Guitar Hanger for QF Displays is a 23" long horizontal acoustic guitar support with raised front hooks. The heavy-duty hanger, with its 25 lb capacity, makes a great display for your instrument. It is designed for use with QF-51 stands."

Perhaps you can adapt it, but........

Amy--Actually the concept that you are talking about is quite popular here in China. Now granted it is not used for hanging guitars, but since almost everyone here lives in high rises with limited space they typically use this type of device to hang clothes on a balcony for drying. Here is a picture of one on our balcony. You can see the real mounted on the wall. All you need to do now is add the hammock
