Default Bye bye CA GXi

I'm probably going to hell for my sins against the acoustic gods, but I sold my carbon fiber guitar and bought my first electric guitar, amp head, and cabinet. I'll still pop in and read the updates here occasionally.

Oh-oh, you’ve gone to the dark side, bw. I saw your for sale ad and was a bit surprised. You had and well-used that GXi for a long time. Glad you got ‘er done quick. So what electric and gear did you buy? Maybe you should have sought a CA Blade!

Btw, you’ll be back with a CF.

I'm always trying to win the blue colored Rainsong they give as the prize to the singer-songwriter competition here. So yeah, maybe I will own another at some point. Haha

Here's the list of gear I went with:

Ibanez Talman Prestige TM1730M - Tri Fade Burst
Ibanez TSA15H 15-watt Tube Head
Ibanez TSA112C 80-watt 1x12" Extension Cabinet
Ibanez IFS2G Footswitch for TSA15H
Strymon Big Sky reverb pedal
Fulltone Custom Shop Supra-Trem tremolo pedal

Sorry I didn't see your ad, I might have snagged that GXi for the price. Enjoy the new gear, BW!

I have an electric guitar around here somewhere..... I needed an easier playing guitar for hand rehab, and got a good deal years ago on a Yamaha LP copy with hard case. That case probably has not been opened in ten years.

I was playing a Gx (wine red) in our LGS on Black Friday while my wife was shopping for digital pianos -- pretty nice. We were surrounded by a room full of Taylors, Breedloves, and Seagulls.

Yo Buzzard;

Good on you! Still moving to new frontiers, still doing the music. I don't know if you've been watching, but I'm heading for the electric frontier, with a custom Emerald, woody, nylon string. Chugging along is pretty cool stuff.

I hope you continue to join this forum, you are a forerunner in CF, attended and cooked for CF fests. Umm. I look forward to your continued progress.

Still have my gxi. I have it on good authority. You’ll need to do far worse to go to the dark side and worse see methuselah.

Is the blue one a Danelectro? I've dabbled in electrics and my favorite was a Danelectro U2, sort of sorry I sold that one.
