Smile Which powered speaker is energy effiecent?

At present I am using an AER compact 60/3. Great compact speaker and is very energy effiecent.

At present I am using a Little miracle lithium iron battery .22 amp er hour.

I get plenty of time with my AER.

I have heard the QSC K series are energy efficinent (sorry I can't spell. lol)

Is that true?

Dave

The AER isn't a 'powered speaker', it's a combo amp with FX, EQ, etc. Are you looking for a speaker to use in conjunction with the AER via battery power?

Powered speakers with Class D power amps will use less power than those with Class A/B power amps.

Thanks guys. I'm attracted to the DBR10 as it's much lighter in weight then the DXR10.
yes MikeBMusic I would like to have option too to use it with the AER.
Obviously that would suck a lot more power using both if I'm busking. But for indoor work that set up would be ideal.

My duo is a month or two shy of 3 years using a single DBR10 for guitar, bass, and vocals; small events to outdoor farmers markets. It is amazing what the right 23 lbs can do.

I would guess for outright power efficiency, all the speakers advertised as class D are in the same power ball park and a bit better than the A/B linear circuit in your AER.

I suspect it is getting hard to find an A/B powered PA speaker these days.
