SBAIC will be a great show held in a very nice hotel in one of the best small cities on the planet. Near perfect weather all year and more good restaurants than makes any kind of sense. With the right number of builders showing and virtually non stop incredible entertainment, I can see why a guitar player would want to avoid this event. Or not.

Your work is looking good, Tom.

Good grief Bruce...

Sitting here in the supposed Glaswegian summer, that description makes me feel deeply wistful (and deeply jealous).

I would so much love to be there...sigh...

I am planning to make it over for a Californian acoustic guitar festival for my 50th birthday...but that's still 9yrs away.

And the Doerrs look absolutely amazing!

Sorry for just getting back to everyone I've been busy in the shop. A few months ago I checked to see if Kevin (who's running the show) had any openings left. He did so I ask my wife if she was fine with me not having a summer because of all the time it takes to build the guitars I'm bringing. She said absolutely do what you have to do. Btw I have to mention I have such a wonderful supportive wife. I always say she has the hardest job taking care of our three young girls. I'm grateful for her and what she does. Anyway I have had to miss a lot of things this summer like camping trips, family get togethers, road trips ect. I have to say I wouldn't have done this if I didn't believe in this show and what Kevin's doing. Like Bruce said its held at a great hotel on the beach, great city, perfect weather. Now we just need the support so come on out and check out some of the worlds finest guitars.

So right now I have about a week and a half before I leave and I'm 95% done with the 3 I've been working and I did have time to start another. It's my Trinity Select model which is my smallest model. I'm going to do a new headstock and bridge on it that I'm excited about. It's more in the vintage frame but with the Doerr touch. Here's the specs of the Trinity

Model: Trinity Select
Series: Signature Series
Top: Swiss moon spruce
B&S: Brazilian rosewood
Cutaway: Florentine
Beveled Binding & Ryan-style bevel: ebony
Fretboard: Brazilian rosewood bound in ebony
Bridge: Brazilian rosewood bound in ebony
Finish: UV polyester

Thanks for looking and for the comments I appreciate it!

Wow. It all looks so nice. But that 'little one' might steal the show! She looks good enough to hug. Good luck at the show and have some fun, too!

Boy, Tom you have been busy. Great work as always.

One of my sayings is, the last 10% of the job is 90% of the work. Hope that is not true for you.

Wishing you the best at the show, I wish I was there to see your creations in person. Always a highlight for me.

Thanks John! It's been awhile since I've seen you at a show. Hopefully we will see each other at one soon. I like your quote and I know what your saying I just can't think like that with a week left that would mean I still have 90% left lol.

Default Bridge

Here's the bridge for the Trinity that I've been working on all day. Took a lot of time but well worth it.
